Days/3 Nights Cruise - Baruna Explorer |
01 & 02 (Tue & Wed): Bali - Lombok
Pick Up at night on Tuesday From your hotel and
transfer from your hotel to Benoa the port of
Denpasar and board the Baruna Explorer. The boat
sails eastward along the Badung Strait to Lombok
Island. Disembark at Nara Bay, northwest of the
island to begin your afternoon countryside
excursion. Visit a traditional "Sasak
village, further to an art market. Afterwards
drive along the beautiful west coast scenery and
board the boat to continue your voyage towards
Satonda Island.
Day 02 (Thu): Satonda Island
In the morning you will start for an exciting
stroll around the fishing village of Labuan
Kenanga. After exploring the village, continue
to Satonda Island where you will swim and
snorkel the remainder of the of the day on its
beautiful and isolated beaches. In late
afternoon depart for Komodo National Park.
Day 03 (Fri): Komodo National Park &
Sabolan Island
Komodo's big attraction is the giant lizard also
known as the Komodo dragon, the original and
only habitat of this giant pre-historic reptile
in the world. A park ranger will escort you
across the Island to a viewing point to watch
the "Varanus Komodoensis" at a very
close range. Enjoy the isolated beach and
underwater gardens of Sabolan with swimming and
snorkeling.
Day 04 (Sat): Bima - Bali
An early morning arrival in Bima. This busy
traditional harbour of East Sumbawa gives you
the opportunity to look around the city. You
will visit the local market, the palace of last
Sultan of Bima which is now a museum with a
collection of artifacts and old weapons. Then to
airport for your return flight to Denpasar,
Bali.

fishing village in Eastern Indonesia.

The Discovery cruises are a great nature

many uninhabited islands with pristine pink (yes
pink) beaches, marine life exploding out of the
oceans, and a surreal tropical calm long after
the rains hit Bali. The Komodo National Park is
a great Adventure Holiday Destination. During
the cruise, activities will include Hiking,
Diving, Sea Kayaking, Dragon Viewing,
Snorkeling, Fishing, Whale Watching and
bargaining with fishermen in flimsy canoes for
pearls, fish and carvings. Optional diving is
available for qualified guests. A BBQ on the
beach, or fine dining on board is a great way to
finish a perfect day. The meals are typically 3
courses. All meals and services are included.
Day 1:
8am arrive Denpasar Domestic Airport for the
9.20am flight to Labuan Bajo or Sape. This
flight takes you east over the island of Nusa
Tenggara. Passing over Nusa Penida and Lembongan
and then below the peaks of famous Mt Rinjani,
Lombok, through to the port of Embarkation.
Board the boat in time for Lunch as we set sail
for North Komodo. Sunset drinks on the fore-deck
allow people to unwind and become acquainted.
Dinner will be served at approximately 7pm.
Day 2:
6am Breakfast and an early start for a guided
tour of Komodo National Park to track down the
famous Komodo dragon in the wild. Returning to
the boat before lunch the afternoon will be free
for snorkeling, swimming and sunbathing on Pink
Sand Beach, or haggle for string of pearls with
the fisherman in their dugout canoes. Drinks and
a BBQ on the beach for dinner.
Day 3:
During breakfast the boat will Set Sail for
Padar - An uninhabited island - in the Middle of
the Komodo World Heritage Area. This island is
great for exploring, beach-combing, protected
diving sites, fishing, snorkeling and sea
kayaking.
Day 4:
Set sail for Labuan Bajo or Sape. Breakfast as
we cruise back to port - Disembark at approx
10am to meet return flight which arrives into
Denpasar at 2.45pm.
