Spirit of Adventure', meets the same strict

'Wild Encounters' Rafting on the Ayung River.
The Spirit of Adventure begins in the hills
below the sacred Mount Agung on the Telaga Waja
River. It offers another perfect option from
SOBEK for this exhilarating sport as the
torrents twist and turn struggling to reach the
ocean. Along the way the landscape changes from
narrow gorges and steep canyons to wide terraced
plains where village children play on the
riverbanks.
The Telaga Waja is a continuous flowing shallow
river compared to the deeper "drop and
run" style of the Ayung. The Telaga Waja
tour is set in an open valley where the Ayung is
set amongst a Tropical Rain Forest setting. Both
areas are spectacular in their own right.
The Telaga Waja River run is over 2.5 hours on continuous
rapids of class 2 - 3 depending on the season -
plus a class 4 weir. This results in a non-stop
